Welcome to the world, baby girl!

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him.  ~ 1 Samuel 1:27

Miss Rhae is finally here and doing great! We're going to use this site to share the experience with everyone, especially her MiMi out in Texas.  I don't have a lot of spare time these days, but I hope I will keep the site as updated as possible.

For those of you who do not know, Rhae has osteogenesis imperfecta (OI).  It is a very rare disease that affects the collagen production, therefore making the bones very brittle and easy to fracture.  It is also referred to as brittle bone disease.  It is estimated that 1 out of every 400,000 to 600,000 births result in OI, and there are approximately only 20,000 to 50,000 people affected by this disease in the US!  I have yet to figure out why we were given such a beautiful gift from God, but I'm sure glad we were chosen!
